How does equality work if we are all reincarnating?
Women, know that as well as occupying the female form, so too are you that which occupies the male form. Know that when you are male you do not experience yourself in the same way you do now; you become that which you see male to be, dealing with the internal conditions that result in the male behaviors you have observed (and may have judged).
gay people, know that as well as occupying the homosexual form, so too are you that which occupies the heterosexual form. Know that when you are straight you do not experience yourself in the same way you do now; you become that which you see straight people to be, dealing with the internal conditions that result in the heterosexual behaviors you have observed (and may have judged).
Those within an oppressed race, know that as well as occupying the oppressed form, so too are you that which occupies the oppressive form. Know that when you are in the oppressive form you do not experience yourself in the same way you do now; you become that which you see oppressive people to be, dealing with the internal conditions that result in the oppressive behaviors you have observed (and may have judged).
Those who identify with The light, know that as well as occupying the light form, so too are you that which occupies dark form. Know that when you are dark you do not experience yourself in the same way you do now; you become that which you see the dark to be, dealing with the internal conditions that result in the dark behaviors you have observed (and may have judged).
light and dark, male and female, gay and straight, black and white are all forms of life occupied by the same eternal-consciousness.
To awaken to your eternal nature is to see that we each experience all forms of being. We have each played all the roles in every drama. We have fought and died for every side. To awaken is to see that we have only ever been victims of ourselves. To awaken is to see that no one owns suffering. Our heritage of oppression (slavery, racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia and religious intolerance) does not belong to any particular group. No person or group is superior or inferior. All are consciousness. All are one. All straight people have been gay, all white people have been black, all men have been women, all able-bodied people have been disabled, and all victims have been abusers.
We will each live again. And it is YOU that will choose your next form but you will not choose it from your current mortal perspective. You will choose your next form from a place of omnipotence—a state of consciousness with infinite perspectives. And, with that wisdom, the form you will pick is the form you have most feared, judged and resisted in this life.
karma is not some law written in the sky to punish us; it is the effect of the choice we make as spirit to experience our own fears and their associated judgments (such that we can transform them). We don’t do this to punish ourselves. We do it to love ourselves—to free ourselves from the painful, divisiveness of fear.
everyone will inevitably awaken to our shared origin because, with each life, we focus on transforming our experience of what we fear. It is in this way that we continually transform and awaken our experience of self.
For example, to believe that liberals could replace conservatives is like believing that if you killed all gay people then no more gay people would be born. It is to believe that liberals can’t have conservative children.
The contrast between opposing sides is what gives such vibrancy and meaning to this world. This contrast is currently so high, so wounded, and so embittered that it is causing people to realize that no side will ever win. We have to listen to each other instead of trying to change each other if we wish to experience a joyful coexistence.
You are the consciousness present in all sides. So, regardless of your form, I invite you to love all opposing forms in the way that you love yourself. This is what will make you happiest (and that will make all happy). And… if you are one of those “evolved spiritual people” seeking to ascend away from this “nightmare of unconsciousness” (to paraphrase how I felt when I began my spiritual journey) then know that your path is to love what consciousness is, when it is unconscious.
The only way to leave this state of existence through the front door is to love it. And yet… when you love it you won’t want to leave. But… you will leave because when you have learnt to love this world then the experience of being human will have given you all of its gifts and new embodied adventures will call to you.
The cycle only ends when consciousness chooses to recognize itself in the unconsciousness that surrounds it. Within that recognition exists a whole new circle of human existence.
